Youth Strength and Conditioning
At Evolution, our youth strength and conditioning program helps young athletes improve their strength, speed, endurance, coordination, and confidence in a safe and supportive setting. Each one of our sessions is led by experienced trainers who understand how to work with high school and college athletes. We focus on proper form, injury prevention, and building a solid athletic foundation through age-appropriate workouts tailored to an individual’s specific sport. For those who are serious about staying healthy and getting the most out of their performance, the best place to start is through strength and conditioning workouts.
Which locations offer Youth Strength and Conditioning?
Most of our California, Colorado, and Connecticut locations have staff who lead youth strength and conditioning. To get started, you can visit your nearest Evolution’s page and use the Fitness portal to search through our strength and conditioning classes, or get in touch with us via form or phone to learn more.
What are Youth Strength and Conditioning Workouts?
Our Youth Strength and Conditioning workouts begin with a dynamic warm-up to activate muscles and prep the body for movement. From there, athletes move into strength training using body weight, bands, or light resistance to build control and full-body strength with proper form. Speed and agility drills sharpen footwork and reaction time, while conditioning circuits improve stamina without overwhelming the body. A typical session wraps with mobility work and recovery, while overall, the trainer continues to tailor the exercises and movements for an individual athlete’s chosen sport.

Youth Strength and Conditioning versus our Youth Boot Camps
Youth Strength and Conditioning is widely available most of the year. It is tailored to an individual and a specific sport. Skill levels vary, and trainers work with youth participants to increase their power, strength, and other physical attributes and to gain confidence as they move into the sports season.
Boot camps are available at fewer locations, are held seasonally, and may not focus on a specific sport. They are great for all ages, including younger athletes. Different types of boot camps may be available throughout the year. To learn more about our youth boot camps, please visit our page on Youth Boot Camps.
Youth Strength and Conditioning versus Evolution’s Sport Conditioning
Young athletes have different demands than adults when it comes to conditioning. Strength and conditioning training during formative years is a great way to increase speed, strength, agility, and stamina, as well as hone a young person’s ability to bounce back from injury. Continuing in any sport is important, but our regular Sport Conditioning sessions are tailored for adult athletes, both college and beyond, to focus on readiness and maintenance for upcoming and current sports seasons. If you are at an age where you aren’t sure which type of training is appropriate, you may read more about Sport Conditioning here or reach out to us to speak to a trainer with any questions.
