Fitness Classes
Evolution’s Fitness classes are a group thing and a great way to enjoy training for new physical challenges or taking charge of your recovery in fun and healthy ways. There is a wide range of fitness classes available, from TRX to varying levels of cardio, to strength training and group functional mobility. We also have the much-loved mat Pilates at many of our locations, too! Evolution also runs both standard and youth boot camps and sports conditioning classes, making us one of the best options not only for athletes but also opening a wide range of possibilities for those recovering from injury or looking for corporate fitness to explore.
Where can I join Evolution’s Fitness Classes?
A majority of our locations allow you to enjoy fitness classes. A few exceptions include Farmingdale, Greenwich, Irvine, and Stamford. If you want to find out more details about an individual location’s offerings, including class type, class time, or instructions, you can give us a call and speak to your nearest Evolution.
How Do Fitness Classes Work?
Evolution offers both fitness packages or unlimited monthly sessions via a membership, not to mention your first class is FREE*, so you can see if it’s the class for you. All you have to do is start with the location where you want to take classes. You can explore the fitness schedule, sign up for your preferred time slot, or even become a member by visiting our Fitness Class Pages below.

Note that for all California classes, excluding La Brea, and for Connecticut classes, you may click the CA Fitness Schedule or CT Fitness Schedule buttons on the links above. You can then browse classes and sign up. To purchase a membership, click the Become a Member button and choose Membership from the page that opens in a new window. La Brea has it’s own schedule, so after clicking the link above, you can check class availability and sign up for your chosen class. What are Trigger Points?
Trigger points (“knots”) or spasms in muscles develop from an injury, poor posture, or a disease process. Trigger points are formed from compression and irritation of the nerves exiting the spine. Muscle banding and tightness can occur anywhere along their pathway and innervation distribution. When the nerves are irritated, they can cause a protective spasm to any of the muscles along their pathway.
Trigger point dry needling is an appropriate adjunctive treatment for all musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Patients commonly report an immediate pain reduction and/or elimination after eliciting a local twitch response, but may experience soreness for one to two days post-treatment.
